Speed post!

I’m taking the opportunity today while all three kids are napping and the house is clean (although I still have laundry to do) to post something quickly. A speed post if you will.

I’m a little surprised that Little Miss S hasn’t caught a cold since her siblings have had back-to-back colds over the course of the last month. M was diagnosed recently with her first-ever ear infection. Yuck. Luckily, with the assistance of a variety of home remedies and prescription medications, M and G are feeling a bit better today.

Since my last post, G got his first haircut, they finally broke ground on our house, lightning hit the building next door to us (luckily there was minimal damage), M has been doing a bit better at school, my mom came for a visit and the hubby started his new job. Phew!

Here are some pictures from the last month:

What hugs are like in our house… they start off fine, then someone decides they want to hug for a little too long and it becomes a fuss-fest… And so the era of “don’t touch me!!” begins…

Interesting story… While we were at the beach a crowd showed up to witness a group baptism… in the ocean!! The minister/reverend/priest/deacon…you know what I’m trying to say right?… started by baptizing a young boy, then it was a woman and last, a young couple who was baptized together. I have never seen anything like it! The crowd (not pictured), which I assume was the congregation of the church, cheered each time someone was submerged. It was definitely an interesting sight to see!

Last but not least, Grant has definitely started to understand more and talk more. I swear he was trying to repeat me when I said “you did it!” in this video (and yes, I now realize that the pitch of my voice in this video is highly irritating but bear with me). He sounds a bit like Daffy Duck and maybe it’s just because I’m his parent that I am interpreting his mumbles as words but I thought it was cute.
