Gratitudes: For a wonderful weekend with the family, for beautiful weather, for quick doctor’s visits and antibiotics, for a company that cares, for a nanny that’s indispensable, and for my sweet, sweet children who always manage to make me laugh even on my gray days. They are my sunshine.
Today though, the thing that I am most thankful for is my husband’s grandmother, Nana. She passed last night and my understanding is that she had a peaceful passing. For that I am grateful. I am thankful that she is with God and reunited with her husband; that she is at peace and no longer suffering from any ailments she might have had. She was the matriarch of the family and while I didn’t have a close relationship with her, she always engaged me in conversation and offered a smile. I know my husband is mourning her passing and am thankful that he has outlets to do so in his own way.
