Tis the season of holiday festivals and there is not a shortage of them in our area. My in-laws visited last weekend so we dragged them to one on our little island, then we went to a lights festival this evening with the kiddos. There are several going on various days until Christmas. Who knows how many more we’ll attend, but so far it’s been buckets o’ fun!

This is our local holiday festival complete with cookie decorating, marshmallow roasting, carnival rides (that you have to wait in line f-o-r-e-v-e-r for), face painting (which we just could not wait in line for because it just was NOT moving), hair and makeup stations for the kiddos, a stage with performances and Santa (who the kids were not interested in meeting).

This is the Holiday Festival of Lights about 30 minutes from us. It has similar activities to our local festival but the main draw are the hundreds of light displays and light shows. The kids got to stay up late, eat a ton of sugar and ride on the carousel. It was a grand time.

This festival has become a tradition in our family. How about you? Do you have any festivals you like to attend during the holiday season?
