Way to ruin the surprise, huh? That was the highlight of our week. The Budweiser Clydesdales were in town! They are truly some majestic creatures, although I still struggle with the idea of them being toted all over the east coast… It’s two-sided I guess. I’m thinking that they are probably treated like equine royalty, yet, the hippie-bleeding-heart side of me wonders if they wouldn’t be better off on some sort of reserve where people could come see them run and frolic rather than having them travel all over just to be surrounded by a bunch of strangers and lug some carriage full of beer around. The other part of me wonders whether they’re better off toting said beer carriage for all of 30 minutes rather than working on a full-fledged farm. #animalrightstruggles #foodforthought
Photos and videos. Enjoy!
Clydesdales
Caught them being cute.
Enjoying the weather this week.
Bike ride — these are views from our neighborhood. Did I mention I love living here?
Impromptu stop at the beach after swim class.
I had been growing my hair out for a bit and had gotten as far as having a chin-length bob, but I couldn’t stand it anymore. Especially since we always have a coastal breeze, all the hair blowing in my face was just obnoxious… especially when it sticks to my lip gloss 😉 Ha! Excuse the make-up less face. So – back to wearing it short. Maintenance is just so much easier.
That’s it for this week folks! M has her first piano recital today so hopefully I’ll have a cute video to post later!
They are growing so fast. Thanks always for the pictures and stories of what you are doing, I hate to live vicariously, but I love getting a peak at life at the M5. On the Clydesdales, I think they have a pretty good life even if they travel all over. Much better than the Preakness competitors. And I like your haircut. I didn’t see you in person as you were growing it out, but this is a great look for you. Give everyone kisses.
